Our Work

#FEEDTHEWARRIOR is an initiative by Vestige Heart to Heart Foundation to help the frontline warriors during the hour of pandemic and to support the underprivileged population affected due to economic downturn. The project has been taking place in two districts of Rajasthan– Bharatpur and Lakheri.

The activities that have been undertaken under this programme are:

  1. Production and distribution of cotton masks (Women Self-Help Groups)- Lakheri

  2. Distribution of PPE kits, hand soaps and sanitisers to the doctors, police, ASHA and Anganwadi workers of Bharatpur

  3. Distribution of ration, hand soaps and sanitisers, and immunity boosters to the underprivileged and migrant population – Bharatpur

Vestige Heart to Heart Foundation has helped more than 2,400 beneficiaries.

Mask Manufacturing (Lakheri) - This project also generates employment opportunities due to the manufacturing of mask and also creating market linkages for the same.

  • Women SHGs were formed, it includes 10 women. These women come from a poor background having no means of income generation. After the formation, mask stitching training was imparted to these women.

  • The next step was conducting the Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) training for these women. This will consolidate the basis of this intervention of creating livelihood and enhanced business opportunity.

  • Once they are ready with the upgraded skills, educated in monetary handling, trained in business skills and with a business plan in hand, we will move ahead towards the forward and backward linkages

  • For credit linkage, the group was given an order of 3,000 masks by Vestige as a seed fund for giving a kick start to their business under the project and market linkage support will be established.

For the mother & the child

Up-gradation of Community Health Centres (CHC)

CHC upgradation in Ranchi. The project aims at renovating and up-gradation of the Malnutrition Treatment Centre (MTC) and Reproductive & Child Health Care (RCH) centre. These centres are responsible for taking care of the health and nutrition of both mother and child, as well as the proper development of the child and improving the quality of the mother’s life. The RCH wings of CHC provide a wide range of services to both the mother and child like RI, ANC, referrals, etc.

Close to 150 children along with their mothers avail these services. This renovation ensures that the centres will go long way in ensuring access to health and nutritional support to some of the most marginalised communities in Mandar Block, Ranchi District, and Jharkhand. It includes refurbishing regarding increasing the space following social-distancing norms, construction of toilets, bathing areas, drinking water facilities and proper sewage treatment. This project will be implemented in partnership with Round Table India (RTI) NGO.
